For reports and theses, bottom-centre “Page 1 of N” is a safe default. For booklets, bottom-right numbers are easiest to see when flipping pages.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. PDFroo processes your files inside your own browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Nothing is uploaded, so your documents never leave your device and there is nothing for us to store or delete.
Can I skip the cover page?
Yes. Turn on “Skip first page” and numbering starts on page two – you can also set the starting number.
Which formats are available?
“1”, “Page 1”, “1 / 10” and “Page 1 of 10”. Choose any of six positions around the page edges.
Do numbers respect rotated pages?
Yes. Numbers are placed relative to how each page is displayed, so rotated pages are numbered correctly.
