How to use Split PDF with PDFroo

  1. Choose the PDF you want to split.
  2. Pick a mode: custom ranges (e.g. 1-3, 4-8), every N pages, or every page.
  3. Press “Split PDF” and download the files individually or as a ZIP.

When to split vs. extract

Split produces several files at once – perfect for separating a batch scan into individual documents. If you just need a handful of pages in one file, Extract Pages is quicker.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. PDFroo processes your files inside your own browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Nothing is uploaded, so your documents never leave your device and there is nothing for us to store or delete.

How do I write page ranges?

Separate ranges with commas. “1-3, 5, 8-10” creates three files: pages 1–3, page 5, and pages 8–10. Each range becomes its own PDF.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied without re-rendering, so text, images and vector graphics keep their original quality.

I only need some pages in one file. Which tool should I use?

Use Extract Pages – it lets you click the pages you want and saves them together in a single new PDF.
